How It Began
JJ Med Spa was established in Los Angeles in 2009 by Dr. Jennifer James, a board-certified dermatologist who had grown frustrated with the gap between what aesthetic medicine could achieve and what most clinics were actually delivering.
Her vision was straightforward: build a practice where every provider is genuinely credentialed, every treatment is evidence-based, and every patient leaves looking like a better version of themselves — not someone else entirely.
Fifteen years later, that vision has treated over 10,000 patients and earned a reputation as one of Los Angeles' most trusted names in precision aesthetics.
Our Philosophy
We don't believe in trends. We believe in anatomy. Every treatment plan we build starts with a thorough assessment of your unique facial structure, skin quality, and long-term goals — not a menu of popular procedures.

Credentials & Standards
Every physician and nurse practitioner on our team holds active board certification in their specialty. We do not employ uncertified injectors or technicians.
Our surgical suite is accredited by the AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care), meeting the same standards as a hospital outpatient department.
We invest exclusively in FDA-cleared and CE-marked devices. Every laser, RF platform, and injectable product we use is approved for its indicated use.
Our providers attend a minimum of 40 hours of continuing medical education annually, including hands-on cadaver training for advanced injection techniques.

Dr. Joseph trained at the University of the East, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center completed his plastic surgery residency. His surgical philosophy centers on proportion and restraint — results that enhance rather than alter. He performs all surgical consultations personally and operates exclusively at our Los Angeles-accredited facility.
